50th Post: Dedicated to MJ

7/7/09 - 11:54 pm

Jackson died at the age of 50! Coincidentally, my blog also turns 50 (posts) today. not the best way to remember this milestone, but its noteworthy indeed. I can only dedicate this post to the undisputed king of pop who was buried today!

You may be gone, but your time will always be remembered! Thank you for entertaining us and for being a part of our lives!

I'm sure the kid would have loved MJ. I have watched him perform live @ Andheri Sports Complex and it was unbelievable. had to pinch myself after the 1st half was over!

Sigh... And MJ is now gone forever.
Not that I have ever been a great fan, but I still felt bad when he died.

(Came over here from Ann Dee's)

Never knew you were a fan of MJ. I paid my homage to him too.
Also I always though you must be over 100 posts old.
So far.

Congrats and Condolences.

Someone told me, like Einstein's, they're preserving MJ's brain too [for different reasons though].

It's sad...for few stars it got too lonely at the top.. Does it not appear he is more loved in his death, than he was in his lifetime? Sigh!

Not much of an MJ fan... but loads of respect for this guy who's like God to a lot of music fans out there!

R.I.P MJ!

Also, a very happy 50th to you :)

50 posts is great. Not a music person so cant really say anything meaningful about MJ except to agree that he must have been the most famous person on the planet.

Hi UH,
Yes sir.. I had been to his concert in Bombay and it was unbelievable! Unreal! Spooky! Had to pinch myself in the break time!
Will stop by and read ur tribute, just dont know when (not making any promises)
100 - nah... I dont post that often. The posts are mundane so they must feel twice as long and boring :D

Hi AD,
I see. Well, thanks for the comment anyway.

HI Arouhsmith,
What does ur name mean? Welcome to my blog. Fully agree with you there.

Hi Vee,
Thanks and thanks.

Hi Ann Dee,
really? As big an entertainer as he was, they might preserve a lot more of him and clone him. I think he was loved always by his fans. Its just that the off screen antics got the better of him - but I have a feeling he took a lot of it personally and his personal life went into a downward spiral! He was just about to go on his last tour and rumors say, out of the 50 day tour, just the first 5 days would have got him out of his debt! Now thats star power for you! He even brought down many websites and part of the internet when news came out that he had died! Thats superstar power!
Sad indeed! But the nay-sayers will pass nasty comments whenever they want to. They just want something to bitch about. I say he is a star and he is dead - let him be!

Hi Dhanya,

(still waiting for my baked cake!)

eye-in-sty-in said...

Hi M,
He was the most famous superstar there ever was! Thats for sure. Pls do watch "They dont really care about us" The video will move you. The emotions are all real! Shot in the streets. Live.

eye-in-sty-in said...

Hi B,

I still couldn't accept the fact that he's actually gone..

eye-in-sty-in said...

wouldn't it be nice if he was just hiding in neverland and it was his clone who dies in his place?

ekta khetan said...

Don’t know whether to congratulate you for 50th post or feel sad about what they are doing with MJ’s dead body. Autopsy pe autopsy and no burial yet.

I really pray hard for his peace after death. However dramatic that may sound to some moron around.

I am so Jealous of U that u saw him perform live....But then if i had to witness his performance, I would never b able to do that coz the moment he would hit the stage I would just faint :P

Ann Dee said...

LOL @ Ripples

I too would have gone too hysteric to enjoy his performance.

EISI, you should have written about your experience...but some time later...or it'll feel like an over-dose.. Let's let the man be.

eye-in-sty-in said...

Hi Ekta (It just struck me why ur blog is numero "unity") Is there a story behind the Numero too?

To each their own - you are entitled to express ur sorrow in ur own way.

Hi Ripples,
He asked a girl to dance on stage and she didnt last 7 seconds!

Hi Ann Dee,
The energy in the crowd was amazing! I started penning the experience, but felt its an ovedose... some other post maybe.

Ann Dee I had been for the Iron Maiden concert in B'lore this feb and came out with no voice left and horrible body ache that I had to take half day and come back home the next day :P
